Freak accidents affecting vital organs are almost always fatal, but sometimes people miraculously survive. Doctors who come to the rescue in such cases also have a difficult task which they manage to perform with fascinating precision.

Satish Kumar was brought to a hospital in Noida after a four centimeter piece of metal broke from his drill and pierced right through his heart. The metal that narrowly missed the main artery left Kumar with little chance of survival as doctors likened it to being shot by a gun in the heart.

But a team of specialists fought against the odds and managed to remove the drill from the 32-year-old’s beating heart. They also released a video of the procedure which shows the moment the metal was pulled out.
