Scientists show how eating bread may cause depression in some people
12 percent people claim they are sensitive to gluten and get cramps and bloating because of it.
Mental health is a major cause for concern as a lot of people struggle with depression and anxiety caused by various factors. While there may be a number of reasons behind these issues, can food actually have an impact on mental well being?
Scientists have now found that gluten may be making people depressed or tired more often than causing stomach issues. Eating bread of pasta can produce mental health responses in some people according to research.
Even though some people are genuinely intolerant to grain protein because of celiac disease, only one percent of the population has the condition. But 12 percent people claim they are sensitive to gluten and get cramps and bloating because of it.
Blind food tests revealed that some people experience these symptoms along with less positive emotions since gluten affects the mind. The findings also showed that this condition may affect only a small number of people.
