Children born with rare conditions at birth do face life altering consequences, but some painful deformities can be heartbreaking. While several disorders can cause children to struggle all their life, others can turn out to be fatal.

Angelica Hail Heachanova from Philippines is just eight days old and is fighting for survival because of a massive balloon like mass on her face. She was born with the red bubble which is baffling since no one seems to know what caused it.

The parents are worried and desperate as Angelica is receiving round the clock care at the hospital. Doctors are conducting tests and sending samples from the growth to laboratories in attempts to figure out the reason behind it.

Surgeons are afraid that operating on the bubble could lead to severe blood loss that can put the infant at risk. But they are also concerned that not treating the growth may cause it to explode which can result in blood loss too.

Similar growth was previously seen in the case of a Pakistani boy suffering from neuroblastoma who received help from boxing superstar Amir Khan.
