Thai man gets surgery to remove huge tumour that got him dubbed man with two heads
While he only earned Rs 172 a day working as a garbage collector, a picture of him posted on social media by a passer-by fetched donations.
Individuals in different parts of the world are left with shocking physical changes due to rare conditions. But it’s the cruel insensitivity in society and a stigma that develops around their situation which makes the disease even harder on them.
71-year-old Jaroon Suanmali from Thailand was labelled a ‘man with two heads’ due to a massive tumour on his face. He had to endure the humiliation along with excruciating pain for years before the tumour was finally removed after a surgery.
Not being able to sleep due to the tumour was not the only ordeal for Jaroon as his ability to hear was also taken away with the tumour growing to cover his right ear. While he only earned Rs 172 a day working as a garbage collector, a picture of him posted on social media by a passer-by fetched donations for the removal of the growth weighing 2 kg.
The suffering was so unbearable that the man once expressed his desire to die and end it.
