Dentist comes face to face with maggots between patient's teeth in disturbing footage

Not taking care of your teeth can lead to several problems including toothache and decay, but sometimes the consequences can be bizarre. A dentist may come across several dental issues face by patients, but there are rare cases which can be described as nothing less than revolting.

In a disturbing video believed to be from India a dentist came face to face with a nightmarish sight when he opened a patient’s mouth. The clip shows scores of maggots wriggling in between yellow teeth that protrude past eroded gums.

The unnamed patient is thought to be suffering from oral myiasis in which a cavity is invaded by parasites which feed on tissues or food ingested by the patient.
