People can end up behind bars for a lot of reasons but sometimes individuals can land in jail due to the most bizarre complaints. While the police in India has often been under fire over law and order, incidents like donkeys being jailed for ruining plants among others have come across as baffling.

Now a man in Himachal Pradesh has been arrested as people were outraged over his smelly socks. 27-year-old Prakash Kumar was arrested from a bus on the way to Delhi when fellow passengers forced the bus to stop at a police station and lodged a complaint.

Kumar has been charged with creating public nuisance as his socks smelled so bad that others asked him to throw them out. A heated argument was triggered when Kumar refused to budge and the bus driver was forced to pull over at the police station.

Meanwhile Prakash Kumar alleged that his socks weren’t stinking and that the passengers quarrelled for no reason at all.
