Married man slices off lover's head with sickle as he suspected she was cheating on him

Trust and exclusivity are considered to be important aspects in monogamous relationships and infidelity has been seen as a deal breaker in most cases. But while relationships may fall victim to lack of trust, things can sometimes go terribly out of hand.

In a horrifying incident reported near Surat, a man beheaded his lover using a sickle because he suspected her of cheating on him. The woman named Jyoti Surjeet Singh was a bar dancer as well as part time model in Mumbai and was in a relationship with Pritesh Patel who was already married.

She visited Patel at his farm near Surat on December 27 to celebrate his birthday after which the couple travelled to Mumbai to celebrate the New Year before returning to the farm on January 1. Following a heated argument at the farm, Patel chopped off Singh’s head with a sickle and fled while Jyoti’s driver Sandeep Singh and his wife were also present.

Patel was later arrested and told the police during questioning that he suspected Jyoti of having an affair with another person.
