Dairy farm in Pakistan welcomes two-headed buffalo calf as miracle
The calf has a condition where the embryo splits into twins but stops causing them to stay attached.
Several instances of mutated animals reported from across the world have astonished people all over the internet for a few years. Shocking cases like a calf with a human like head and a piglet born with a penis on its head have surfaced in the past few years, with some being treated as miracles and some as monsters by locals.
In a similar incident, a buffalo calf born with two heads at a dairy farm in Pakistan has been welcomed as a miracle. It is yet to be named and has one body, two heads, two noses, four ears and four eyes.
The condition affecting it is believed to be one where the embryo starts splitting into twins but stops causing the twins to remain attached. The calf is being fed by a bottle since it’s too weak to lift two heads and suckle from the mother.
The CEO of the dairy rushed to the farm on receiving the news and found that while one head was cold the other was warmer. He said that even though no one believed the calf would live beyond a day, it has managed to defy odds and survived for a week.
Animals with such conditions are known to have separate brains in each head with shared control of the body. They rarely survive beyond a few months.
