When the owner of Chief, a beagle, discovered that the cyst inside his ear looked just like President Donald Trump's face, she couldn't wait to share it with the internet.

Chief had been having some trouble in his ear and his 25-year-old owner, Jade Robinson from Northeast England, waited until the 2-year-old pup was asleep before she clicked a photo of the cyst to send to a vet.

Which was when she made the alarming discovery, that the cyst resembled Trump's face and blonde quiff.

But it was only when a friend of Jade's also saw the resemblance that Robinson decided to share the post with the Internet.

Robinson posted the photo captioned: "The moment you realise why your dogs ear hurts..... he has DONALD TRUMP IN IT!!!!

The photo immediately went viral.

Robinson created a crowdfunding profile on JustGiving to raise funds to have Chief's ear properly examined by a vet.

Robinson wrote on the profile: "If you know anything about beagles you know how intelligent, active and curious they are and Chief certainly lives up to that - he's full of mischief."

Adding,: "As he has the very distinctive long ears they spend a lot of time scraping the ground sniffing for lovely smells, unfortunately this leads to his ears picking up a lot of dirt."

"We have fought to keep his ears clean since day one however general cleaning can only go so far," Robinson continued.

However, Twitter users had some hilarious responses to the photo of the cyst, here's some of the best:

The photo was retweeted (just by one posted by account @FacesPics) over 27 thousand times and liked over 69 thousand times since it was originally posted on November 4.
