Satya Nadella turns author

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is ready to publish his debut novel, Hit Refresh — The Quest to Rediscover Microsoft’s Soul and Imagine a Better Future for Everyone, on September 26. He will be in Hyderabad in the first week of November for the launch of the book, which will be held at the Microsoft office.

In addition to telling his personal story and looking ahead to the next wave of technology, Satya has also accounted the details of his efforts to reshape Microsoft culture as a CEO in the book. 

In his recent LinkedIn post, Satya wrote, “Today, the first copies of the book arrived — neatly boxed and orderly. I laughed to myself because the process to get to this perfectly packed box was messy at times, and the story itself was not always orderly. In fact, that was half the fun, and it’s why I wanted to write about it in the midst of experiencing it.” 

The book also discusses Satya’s childhood before immigrating to the US and how he learned to lead along the way. It also shares his experiences as the CEO — one who is unknown following the brainy Bill Gates and energetic Steve Ballmer.
