In a bizarre incident, a Connecticut criminal says his love for Taylor Swift inspired him to rob a bank.

Bruce Rowley, the suspect, was arrested last week in Ansonia, Connecticut after he held up a local bank all in hopes of impressing the Delicate star, according to the police report discovered by TMZ.

According to reports, following the heist, Rowley then drove to the singer's Rhode Island home where he reportedly threw some of the cash over her fence onto her property.

The man was arrested for second degree robbery and fourth degree larceny.

The police report says that Rowley explained he had a crush on the pop star and thought he could impress her with his crimes.

Reports say Rowley allegedly entered the bank and demanded the money without brandishing any weapons, but the amount in cash that was handed over is still undetermined.

He was later spotted by state troopers in Rhode Island, where Swift owns a $17million beachfront home.

Rowley said that he tried to contact Swift, but she was not home, although cops are still trying to verify if he actually went to her property.

The suspect is currently being held on bail.

Meanwhile, Swift is said to be looking for a spot to live in the UK so that she can be closer to British beau Joe Alwyn.
