Human animal conflicts have been reported on several occasions from around the world with incidents like leopards attacking human beings and at times big cats being lynched by panicking masses as well. But every once in a while stories of animals and humans helping out each other come as a breath of fresh air.

In an unfortunate turn of events, a lion cub in Gir Somnath district of Gujarat found itself trapped in an 80-feet-well in a village. On finding her on Saturday morning, villagers immediately informed the authorities and a rescue team soon arrived on the spot.

A forest official was lowered in the well to tie a rope around the cub which was pulled up as the rescue was caught on camera. She will be released in the wild once she is found to be fit and healthy.
