Woman in Queensland delivers baby weighing 6 kgs

The new born baby is being called the heaviest baby to have ever been delivered at Queensland's Rockhampton Hospital.

A woman from Queensland gave birth to a baby girl weighing a whopping six kgs.

The child weighed almost twice the weight of the average newborn.

Born by caesarean section, Maisie Lily Macdonald arrived a week early.

Taking to Facebook, Mason Macdonald, her father, shared the good news with a picture of the heartwarming moment the child was born.

He wrote, “I'd like to introduce Maisie Lily Macdonald to everyone, weighing in at 13 pound 4 ounces (6.020 kilograms) claiming the record of biggest baby born at Rockhampton hospital,” going on to add, “Welcome to the world and the family ya massive newborn.”

Maisie will join her 17-month-old sister Aubree Rose, who herself was weighed

The baby has earned the title of the heaviest baby to have ever been delivered at Queensland’s Rockhampton Hospital. Maisie’s birth garnered a lot of attention with people all over the world eager to congratulate the parents.

People showered their praised on Facebookl with one person writing, “Wow just wow ... congrats guys all the best.”

Another person wrote, “And you go girl how the f**k did you carry her... I take my hat off to you and kneel at your feet... you are a machine.”
