Live, love, laugh

My wife (Vinny Arora) and I met each other while shooting for the television serial Swarg in 2009. Our friendship blossomed, as both of us share the motto: live, love and laugh. Our ideas matched and the next step seemed like the ‘but obvious’ thing. I have always been a shy person and not very expressive in terms of my true emotions. Vinny understands me completely and has been a strong support in my life ever since.

In the past few years, since the time we started dating; we have spent numerous romantic dates together. But this Valentine’s Day is very special for us. It’s our first Valentine’s Day after marriage.

I am going to make sure that it is one of the most memorable and special days for us. I have planned to surprise Vinny by decorating the entire house with red elements — balloons, flowers and chocolates. Vinny loves chocolates, so I am going to shower her with a range of her favourite chocolates. I am also planning to cook and lay out a perfect spread for her with our favourite bottle of wine. I will ensure that the dinner table is decorated perfectly for the occasion with flowers, scented candles and ambient lights.

I am making all effort to ensure that she feels every bit special and understands that she is the one who makes my life complete. I am hoping the evening will be filled with non-stop chatter and laughter about how these years passed in the blink of an eye and everything we were looking forward to together. I am planning to end the evening with a surprise gift — a piece of jewellery that she was eying for a long time.
