Videos of social media users gagging on colourful detergent packets have been circulating on the internet as they challenge others to do the same.
Authorities have warned that the substance containing ethanol, polymers and hydrogen peroxide is toxic and can do serious damage if consumed. The bizarre challenge originated as a joke in an article on a satirical news site, but some seem to have taken it too seriously.
Meanwhile YouTube has started removing videos that show youngsters chewing detergent packets.
