Video: Robot solves Rubik's cube in 0.637 milliseconds
The previous record for a machine solving the cube stands at 1 second.
Munich: The Rubik’s cube has been used to to sharpen grey cells and gauge the mind’s problem solving abilities. There are geniuses who have solved it in few seconds, but technology seems to be moving ahead to make things faster.
A robot has been able to beat the clock by solving the Rubik’s cube in the amount of time required to translate thoughts to words and also for generating results in Google for a specific search term. It managed to pull off the feat in just 600 milliseconds.
The robot did so at an electronics trade fair in Germany as everyone present was left stunned, beating a previous record by machines which stood at 1 second.
Rubik’s cube has six sides painted in different colours and divided in nine sections, as it can be scrambled into 43 quintillion collections and the record for a human being solving it stands at 4.904 seconds.
