People from 101 countries fed at Dubai Gurdwara

Dubai: The Sikh community has been making headlines for the past several years for setting examples with their service to humanity in times of crisis. From feeding and sheltering people during riots to helping out people hit by demonetisation woes, Gurdwaras have always come to the rescue.
Following Sikhs helping and feeding people in war torn areas like Iraq and homeless people in Australia, a Gurdwara in Dubai has set a world record for feeding around 600 people from 101 different nationalities at an hour long event called “Breakfast for Diversity”.
Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar has been catering to 50000 Sikhs around UAE and is known for feeding people. The guests included schoolchildren, diplomats and government officials all in one place.
The selfless act to bring people together has garnered appreciation and broke the record of people from 55 countries having breakfast together at the Milan Expo in 2015.
