Having hair on the chest earlier was a sign of masculinity and pride but nowadays men are opting to have clean shaven chests too. Earlier, chest hair removal procedures were preferred only by sportsmen and celebrities. But today, more and more regular guys opt for it. Though it started off with the need for a fuzz-free back and chest, now, even full-body hair removal is in demand. Some men do it before their wedding, and some do it because they want to portray a certain image. There are also those who get it done because their job demands it. Kanye West, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and many more have opted for this treatment.

Treatment: Laser hair reduction is the process of removing unwanted hair  by using laser light. The laser selectively targets the melanin pigment in the hair and damages the hair follicle. A number of sessions are required to get rid of unwanted hair. After repeated sessions, the thick hair becomes fine and less bothersome. Laser hair reduction is one of the fastest growing procedures in aesthetic dermatology.

The treatment is performed with the latest next generation laser that aids hair reduction and is suitable for all skin types. During the treatment, a triple wavelength provides deeper penetration and destruction of hair follicles. It is characterised by the use of very short pulse with high dose of energy, effective even on thin hair. These short pulses are created with high doses of energy.

The triple wavelength treatment offers increased safety and efficacy on various Indian skin types, enabling the treatment of thin hair, dark and even tanned skin. The superior contact cooling with the sapphire tip both just before and during the laser treatment helps in making the treatment much safer, comfortable and virtually painless.

After the procedure, patients are advised to avoid the use of tweezers, waxing and depilatory creams. The patient should avoid sunbathing, using self-tanning lotions and discolour the hair, days prior to the treatment.

The cost for this treatment depends on the area and number of sessions required. A single full body session starts from Rs 90,000 onwards for eight sessions.
