Coming across rude customers at eateries or a neighbourhood store can make anyone cringe, and it’s about time that something was done to make people realise the importance of showing some courtesy.

Now a creative bar sign outside a coffee shop in the US is doing the rounds for urging people to be nice to the staff. It says that $5 will be charged from people who only say “one small coffee”, charges will be $3 for those who say “one small coffee, please” and if you say “Hello, I’d like one small coffee please”, you will be charged $1.75.

The owner Austin Simms was fed up of people being rude and decided to do away with ill mannered people with the sign. But he was surprised when the image went viral as he was just trying to be funny.

Several people lauded the sign and discussed how people have forgotten the importance of manners, and some even shared their own ideas to teach people a lesson in courtesy.
