Parents, these apps can keep kids busy this monsoon
Here are four such apps for parents to keep their kids engaged this monsoon.
New Delhi: While the monsoon season makes individuals crave for a hot beverage and a book, kids often tend to get fussy for not being allowed to go out and play.
However, a number of content creators have developed apps for children to remain busy indoors as well.
Ranging from story-telling to quizzes and puzzles, these apps provide not just entertainment but boost a child's knowledge as well by keeping their grey cells occupied.
Here are four such apps for parents to keep their kids engaged this monsoon:
Amar Chitra Katha (ACK)
This app offers a digitised version of Amar Chitra Katha, a popular comic book series depicting great epics, mythology, history, literature and oral folktales. The digital comic can be read in flipbook mode, which is the standard format of reading page-by-page or panel-by-panel mode for easy reading on smaller devices.
Lingokids
It is an English learning app for kids, belonging to the age group of two to eight and features content from Oxford University Press. It is programmed for preschool and kindergarten children to master the language at their level in a fun and playful way. The app also offers weekly reports to parents to help them monitor their kids from time to time.
Kintoons - Nursery Rhyme DJ
This app by Kinsane Entertainment Inc. allows children aged between two and five to become DJs and create their own mixes of popular nursery rhymes, performed in real time by four lovable characters from the KinToons show. With every rhyme, the background changes from a toddlers' colorful room full of toys to a forest scene with various animals. Moreover, just like a DJ creates music, a child can create different additional sounds to an already pre-set rhyme by selecting from a number of illustrations.
Kids' Puzzles
It is a kids' app targeted at the age group of three to nine. It is a game where a child has to put together puzzle pieces to reveal a real picture. Each set contains ten or more pictures with several difficulty levels. As per multiple researchers, puzzles are said to spur brain development as it harnesses the power of both sides of one's brain.
