Here's why Kate Middleton is absent in the Queen's new documentary
Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be seen, but only in footage from the Royal Wedding.
While royal fans are gearing up to watch the new behind-the-scenes documentary, Queen Of The World, one popular royal family member is conspicuously absent from the trailer.
According to a story in Sun Online, while Meghan Markle is heavily features in the advert for the two-part show, there is no sign of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton.
However, it turns out that there is a perfectly plausible explanation for the absence.
People's royal reporter Simon Perry said, "The royal mum of three was on maternity leave after the birth of Prince Louis in April when a lot of the filming was conducted. She simply wasn’t taking part in functions with the family at that time."
It turns out that ITV confirmed to the Sun Online that Kate will play a part in the documentary when it finally airs, despite not being in the trailer.
Prince George and Princess Charlotte too will be seen, but only in footage from the Royal Wedding.
Viewers can also expect to see Prince Charles, Prince William, Princess Anne and the Countess of Wessex.
Queen Of The World explores how her Majesty is passing on her duties to the younger royals.
The programme includes the moment Prince Harry joked that he panics if he stumbles upon the Queen.
The documentary also includes Meghan Markle lighting up as she sees her stunning silk tulle wedding veil, which featured a flower from all 53 Commonwealth countries (plus one for California and her home at Kensington Palace).
The series will also offer a unique look into the Queen's early days as the Head of the Commonwealth, using footage from Her Majesty's private archives and the Royal Collection's treasures.
