Get the right size

Nature doesn’t always bless us with all that we want. And in the case of women, the shape and size of their breast is one thing that women obsess over. Kate Hudson, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift are all A-listers who have decided to modify their breast to look the way they want.

Women have always looked at having fuller, perky breasts. While small breasts maintain their shape, it is the larger breasts that begin looking flatter post pregnancy.  The breasts look deflated and unnatural. These breats usually require a combination of breast augmentation and lift to return to their original state. These are surgical procedures with their associated downtime and the results are permanent.  

 Many women are not interested in undertaking the surgical procedure with its associated downtime and would rather prefer if this can be achieved without any surgery. Also women who are interested in surgery would like to know how their breasts would look if an implant surgery is done. These concerns were addressed by a New York Plastic Surgeon Dr. Norman Rowe. He used the principle of on table tissue expansion by using Normal Saline to achieve breast enlargement and lift.

 Normal Saline is a sterile solution normally injected into the veins to maintain the blood volume especially in people who are dehydrated. This solution under sterile precautions is injected into the breast tissue under pressure. The solution increases the tissue volume of the breast tissue and makes it turgid. Local anesthesia is injected into the base of the breast tissue which makes the breast numb as well as constricts the veins which prevents the injected saline from escaping. The breast size and shape is maintained for 12-24 hours after which the saline is slowly absorbed from the breast tissue and the breast goes back to its normal size.  

 This is a very good procedure for people who want temporary enlargement so that they can wear particular costumes or attend specific occasions. This can also help a patient take a decision regarding undergoing the surgical procedure to make it permanent.

 Caution has to be exercised during this procedure as the needle while injecting if slips to the underlying lungs can cause catastrophic complications. Also it is too much of a risk and cost for a single day of breast enlargement and lift. Moreover if done again and again it may cause increased laxicity of the breast tissue and covering skin and people may be forced to undergo the breast surgeries.
