Teenager slammed for putting pet turtle in microwave

Boston: Cruelty against animals is a major issue across the world as animals are exploited and even tortured in the name of entertainment be it for performances or bizarre festivals in several parts of the world. A lot of people have also been seen abusing their pets to make them perform stunts.

In one such shocking example of pets being mistreated, a 16-year-old girl from Boston in US posted pictures of her turtle which she put inside a microwave oven for fun, and later posted pictures online.

The teenager was slammed on social media for her inhuman act, but a report quoted her as saying, “Ya’ll Mad over a f***ing turtle. Get over it”, showing that she was clearly unrepentant about her actions. The teen’s mother also laughed off the matter.

 

 

 

Although the post was taken down, people have taken screenshots and have started a petition demanding Boston police to take action against the teenager and her mother for animal cruelty.
