Blind man suing Playboy for not letting him enjoy its online magazine
Donald Nixon, says the porn site is not compatible with his special screen-reading software.
In a bizarre case, a blind man has launched a lawsuit against Playboy for not letting him enjoy their online magazine.
According to reports in MailOnline, Donald Nixon, says the porn site is not compatible with his special screen-reading software.
Nixon further adds that Playboy is discriminating against him by violating the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Notably, Nixon started a class action civil case in a US court to force the company to make its sites accessible to the blind.
In court documents he states blind and visually-impaired people “cannot fully and equally use or enjoy the facilities, products and services” and that screen readers let them access text via a speech synthesiser or braille display.
Anyone found guilty of violating the ADA faces fines of more than £78,000. Playboy has not yet commented.
