An increasing number of couples across the globe use sexting as a way to spice up things in their relationship. But while it may be a way to boost intimacy, the impact of sexting on a relationship may vary.

A study has revealed that people who sext frequently with their partners are more likely to watch online porn and cheat. The findings also showed that such people are insecure in the relationship.

On the brighter side, researchers found that couples who sexted had more satisfaction in bed. But many had low levels of commitment and insecure attachment to their partners as they didn’t really feel connected.

It found that sexting doesn’t seem to be part of a healthy relationship and that partners who sexted a lot also had higher couple conflict.
