Poor attitude towards women may be caused by early exposure to porn
Porn consumption is also known to affect performance anxiety and even religiosity among men.
Millions around the world consume pornography mostly through the internet and while sex lives of people are found to be affected by excessive consumption of porn, children as young as 10 have been watching every kind of porn easily accessible online.
While young children watching porn and getting influenced by it is itself a worrying development, the age of when one starts watching porn has several long term effects that manifest in personal and social lives of people. A new study has revealed that watching porn at an early age causes poor attitude towards women among men.
Most men said they started watching porn when they were 13 but there were also shocking admissions about watching it when they were five. The men who first watched porn at a young age were found to be more likely to want power over women and those who were older when they came across porn showed a higher desire to be playboys.
Although there needs to be more research on effects of porn like performance anxiety in bed and even religiosity of men, the researchers said there was enough evidence to suggest that it does influence attitudes among men.
