Khonsa, Arunachal Pradesh

We all have different preferences with respect to our holiday destinations. So, keeping that in mind, we bring you a list of varied places around the country, where you can enjoy some romantic moments with your loved one!

Khonsa, Arunachal Pradesh
Situated on the eastern most tip of India, Khonsa in Arunachal Pradesh is a beautiful hill station that is known for receiving the first rays of sun in this part of the world. What makes Khonsa a must visit destination for couples is that it is one of the best places to trek, as it is situated in the Tirap Valley, that is surrounded by the Himalayan ranges. The hill station also has a variety of scenic locations — ranging from the streams to snow-clad hills and dense forests.

Alleppey, Kerala
It’s safe to say that this already popular town in God’s Own Country, Kerala, became even more popular and a much sought-after destination amongst couples post the release of Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya. Alleppey provides you the opportunity to revel in its scenic beauty through the backwaters by travelling in houseboats. With its green paddy fields and lagoons, this place will definitely excite you both.

Minicoy, Lakshadweep
Though a few of you might not be aware of Minicoy, this town in Lakshadweep is one of the most beautiful travel destinations in the country. In Minicoy, surrounded by the Arabian Sea, various activities like canoeing take place. While canoeing, you would also get a chance to see turtles, corals and various fish following you, as you row in the turquoise water! Don’t miss the experience!

Bandhavgarh, Madya Pradesh
If you both are wildlife enthusiasts, we suggest you visit Bandhavgarh, known as the land of tigers. You will have the experience of a lifetime in Bandhavgarh National Park and if you’re lucky, you can even sight majestic tigers, up close and personal! The national park also boasts a rich variety of fauna — with 37 species of mammals, 250 species of birds, 80 species of butterflies and more. Another interesting aspect about Bandhavgarh is that it has a rich history, dating back 2,000 years; you can even find several manmade caves with inscriptions and rock paintings.

Khajjiar, Himachal Pradesh
Located on a small plateau with a stream-fed lake, Khajjiar in Himachal Pradesh is known as the ‘Mini Switzerland of India’. As the hill is situated at the base of Dauladhar mountains, one can witness the panoramic views they provide. This is a perfect place where you can try trekking if you’re a beginner — as it is only 6 kms starting from Khajjiar on the Dalhousie-Khajjiar road and ending at Pholani Devi Temple at Dainkund. It also possesses a well-defined trail with moderate ascent.

Horsley Hills, Andhra Pradesh
One of the tiniest hill stations in the country, Horsley Hills is a picturesque hamlet in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The place is blessed with dense forests and has a wide range of trees like Gulmohar, Allamanda, Eucalyptus, Sandalwood and more. The must-visit spots in Horsley Hills are Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary, Environment Park and more. Apart from this, we suggest you try zorbing here too!
