NEW DELHI: A large number of youth on Monday met the BJP leaders at the party’s Delhi office and welcomed the announcement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to organise a ‘Mock Youth Parliament’ in mid-August this year. The objective was to increase the involvement of youth in politics.

A large number of youth who have recently attained the age of 18 years participated in the programme and the Delhi BJP office-bearers helped them in filling voter enrolment forms.

Among those who welcomed the youth participating in the today’s programme included Bharatiya Janata Party’s national general secretary (organisation) Ramlal, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari, state general secretary (organisation) Siddharthan, state general secretary Rajesh Bhatia and state unit treasurer Vishnu Mittal along with senior party leaders

Addressing the youth, Mr Ramlal said that Prime Minister Mr Modi’s  call to the youth to become a part of the mainstream politics was strictly intended to ‘purify’ the political system as the youth vocally opposed corruption.

Mr Ramlal further called upon the youth to join politics with a resolve of service to the nation and building a corruption and nepotism-free society.

Mr Tiwari congratulated the youth present for the spirit with which they have come to thank the Prime Minister Mr Modi for his invite to the youth to take interest in political and administrative activities.

The Delhi party president assured them that the BJP works with a commitment towards the theory of the ‘nation first, party interest second’.
