Bizman files FIR against cow for mishap

New Delhi: The Delhi police went into a tizzy after a motorist filed an FIR against a cow, which allegedly reared his bike and left him injured in Sadar Bazar.
Mohammed Shaqil, a Daryaganj-based businessman, has registered a police complaint against the cow following the incident that left him with a fractured leg.
According to his complaint, the incident took place at about 7.15 pm. He was on his way to Sadar Bazar from Lahori Gate. As he reached the Sherawali Market, a cow hit his two-wheeler from the rear.
As a result, he fell on the road and sustained injuries. He was taken to LNJP hospital, where doctors said he had sustained a fracture.
He then approached the Sadar Bazaar police station and filed a complaint against the cow. The cops went into a tizzy as they couldn’t understand how the animal could be penalised.
However, based on a complaint from the victim, the cops have registered a case but have so far failed to identify the ‘accused’ cow and its owner. The police is also scanning footage from the CCTV cameras installed in the area for clues.
The police has registered a FIR under Section 289 (negligent conduct with animals and causing hurt) of the IPC.
