New Delhi: The BJP’s national secretary and Lok Sabha member from East Delhi, Maheish Girri, has written a letter to the party’s legislators and requested them to raise the issue of unification of three corporations in the legislative Assembly.

The Lok Sabha member said that he has already written a letter to the Prime Minister for the unification of corporations and now he will take an appointment with him and request him to intervene on the issue of the unification of corporations and imposing President Rule in Delhi. “I will meet the minister for urban development and present before him the corporation unification issue.”

In the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament, Mr Girri raised the issue of the unification of corporations. “How could the Congress government divide the Delhi Municipal Corporation into three parts to fulfil its own political interest. The 74th amendment of the Constitution aimed at strengthening urban governance and gave more power to corporations, so that they collect more revenue and run their affairs smoothly,” Mr Girri had said in Lok Sabha.

Mr Girri pointed that the present Delhi government is not capable of delivering its duty to serve the people, therefore, the people of Delhi are undergoing a phase of non-governance. “This is making their lives worse,” he said.
