BSES staff assaulted by crowd, 3 arrested

The security staff of BSES later shifted him to a hospital. A police team had scanned CCTV footage of the area to arrest the accused.

New Delhi: The Outer District police has arrested three persons for allegedly assaulting a retired ACP,  who is now working as a  BSES supervisor, in Nihal Vihar over meter relocation and cable changing work in Kamrudeen village on February 27.

The arrested are Anand Yadav, who runs three factories in Kamrudeen Nagar, Nangloi, Narender, who is the owner of a godown situated in Kamrudeen Nagar and Amjat Ali, a labourer of Nangloi.

The police said that the three had brutally assaulted the senior officer when he had visited the area on February 27 along with the staff of BSES and were carrying out meter relocation and cable changing work. During this time, the local residents gathered at the spot and quarrelled with the BSES staff. When the ACP tried to intervener, they manhandled and assaulted him. He sustained injuries over his head and body.

The security staff of BSES later shifted him to a hospital. A police team had scanned CCTV footage of the area to arrest the accused.
