New Delhi: The court has extended the police remand custody of three accused persons in the CBSE paper leak scam by two days. The three accused had allegedly leaked the Class12 Accountancy paper. The accused persons include two private school teachers and one coaching centre tutor.

They were arrested by the crime branch on Sunday from Outer Delhi’s Bawana area. The accused — Taukir, Rohit, and Rishabh — were presented at the Karkardooma court on Tuesday, where the court extended their custody for two more days.

The CBSE has finally decided not to conduct the Class 10 examination again.

However, as the crime branch’s investigation is going ahead, new revelations are coming forth. Some are alleging that not only the Class 12 Accountancy and Class 10 Maths papers were leaked, even the Class 12 Biology paper was leaked.

The crime branch may soon lodge a third FIR in the CBSE paper leak scam. A senior police official said that the handwriting of the Accounts and Biology paper are same, which confirms that the same gang has leaked the paper. The accused persons had leaked and circulated the Accounts, Maths, and Biology question papers on WhatsApp two days before the exams.

The CBSE regional director had previously only complained about the Accounts and Maths papers. As such, the crime branch had registered two separate cases in that regard. Now when the handwriting of the question papers are matching, the crime branch can file a third FIR.
