NEW DELHI: The Delhi unit of BJP on Friday pointed out that the claims of achievements of the Arvind Kejriwal government stand exposed.

Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said that under the ruling Delhi government, the health services in the government hospitals have totally collapsed and the situation was so grave that the number of beds available to the patients in the best referral hospitals of Delhi such as the GB Pant Hospital have also decreased.

Mr Tiwari alleged that the decreasing number of beds in city hospitals and also the nomination of a private hospital administrator to the Rajya Sabha exposes the government's 'empty' claims of strengthening the government hospitals.

Mr Tiwari claimed that according to information obtained through RTI, now only 735 beds were available for patients instead of the sanctioned 758 beds in GB Pant Hospital. Similarly, in Janakpuri Super Specialty Hospital, only 100 beds were available for the patients in place of 250 beds, while the Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital Management has refused to give information about the availability of beds.

Expressing regret over the controversy surrounding nomination to the Rajya Sabha from the capital, Mr Tiwari said, "The way people were talking about the 'money deal' (in nominations to the Rajya Sabha) from the streets to the Parliament and in media debates has surprised many and shamed democracy."

“The controversy arising out of the nomination for the Rajya Sabha by the AAP has offended the people of Delhi. They want to know the truth behind this controversy,” he said. It is disturbing that questions are being raised about the ‘money deal’. The truth should come out,” he said.

Mr Tiwari alleged that Kejriwal government uses the issue of the homeless people as a political tool and emotionally exploits it, but in reality does anything.
