Delhi: Man stabs, critically injures 21-yr-old aspiring air-hostess in public view

Although the incident was not captured on CCTV, a footage shows that the accused and the victim were talking to each other, the police said.

New Delhi: A 21-year-old aspiring air-hostess was critically injured on Wednesday after she was allegedly stabbed multiple times by a man in full public view in Mansarovar Park area of Shahdara, police said.

The woman is currently undergoing treatment at a city hospital, where her condition is stated to be critical, they said, adding that the 22-year-old accused, Adil is absconding and a manhunt has been launched to arrest him.

The incident took place in a busy market area where there were many shops. Even though the incident has not been captured on the CCTV, a footage shows that the accused and the victim were talking to each other, the police said.

It is suspected that they had an argument and he stabbed her multiple times, they added.

Meanwhile, the victim's family was unable to share details as to why Adil could have attacked their daughter.

However, it is suspected that Adil might be harassing the woman, police said. Locals informed the police and rushed her to a hospital. The call detail records of the victim is being scanned to get any clue about the accused.
