To mark its 10th anniversary this year, selected students of four schools of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) will be visiting the Ivy League business school, Wharton School, at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States in summer 2020.

New Delhi: To mark its 10th anniversary this year, selected students of four schools of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) will be visiting the Ivy League business school, Wharton School, at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States in summer 2020.

Fiftyfive students, who are selected on merit from the Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), Jindal School of Banking & Finance (JSBF), Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) and Jindal School of Liberal Arts & Humanities, will represent JGU at the Aresty Institute of Executive Education at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, in July 2020.

The agreement to launch this programme was signed by founding vice-chancellor of JGU Professor C. Raj Kumar and senior director, Global Partnerships, Aresty Institute of Executive Education at the Wharton School, David L. Heckman.

Prof Kumar said: “Studying at the renowned Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania is a terrific opportunity for JGU students. This programme will improve their analytical and decision-making skills at a strategic level in areas most relevant for doing business in this new age. The exposure to executive education at Wharton on top of the cutting-edge training JGU students receive will prepare them for a fast-paced, continuously challenging career in business and finance.”

The participating students from JGU will learn how the balance of business, finance and technology shifts rapidly in India and around the world and how stakeholders can adapt to these changes.

The current relevance of the study modules at this customised Wharton programme for JGU students makes it intellectually rewarding and meaningful for finance and business ecosystem in India.
