Teenager going for tuitions raped by 2 in northwest Delhi

The victim's family said, the accused, including a 65-year-old man allegedly threatened her by claiming that they are connected to police.

New Delhi: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two men in northwest Delhi's Netaji Subhash Place area, police said on Tuesday.

The girl was on her way to tuition classes in Shakurpur M-Block when the accused stopped her on March 4, police said.

The victim's family told police that the accused, including a 65-year-old man allegedly threatened her by claiming that they are connected to police, they added.

The accused live in the same area as the victim, police said.

The victim was scared but confided in a friend on Tuesday, following which her family members and neighbours approached police.

One of the accused is in hospital while the other has been detained by police.

Police are also verifying the age of the victim.
