Mansarovar murder case solved, five held
The crime branch team said that the deceased guard, Rakesh, was part of the murders.
New Delhi: Two months after five persons, including four women of a family, were found murdered inside an ancestral property in east Delhi’s Shahdara, the police on Wednesday claimed to have cracked the mystery of Jindal murder case.
The accused have been identified as Vikash alias Vicky, Anuj, (son of Rakesh), Sunny, Vicky and Neeraj. The arrested were all residents of Ghaziabad.
The police has recovered the gold jewellery and '50,000 in cash from the accuseds’ possession.
On early October 7, the accused murdered four women of the Jindal family and their guard in Mansarovar Park by slitting their throats and decamped with gold jewellery and cash worth lakhs of rupees.
The Delhi Police’s crime branch probing the murders said they have arrested five persons and claimed that robbery was the motive behind the killings. The crime branch team said that the deceased guard, Rakesh, was part of the murders.
JCP, crime, Alok Kumar said, “Following the post mortem report, we suspected that the accused knew which parts of the body would result in instant death. We targeted the deceased guard’s son-in-law, Vikas, who worked in GTBH as a sweeper”
The police quoting Vikas said Rakesh in August had hatched a plan to rob the Jindals and told them t meet him at the Jindal house. Once there, Rakesh called Nupur Jindal and before she could speak, Vikas slit her throat. After murdering the rest of women inside the house, Vikas murdered Rakesh sensing he might spill the beans to the when interrogated by the police.
