Delhi: 4 drunk teens injured after car rams into road divider

Eyewitnesses said the car appeared to have lost control and rammed the divider, leaving the four injured.

New Delhi: Four allegedly drunk teenagers returning from Murthal in Haryana on Tuesday got injured after their car rammed into a road divider in northwest Delhi's Swaroop Nagar area, police said.

Eyewitnesses said the car appeared to have lost control and rammed the divider, leaving the four injured, one of them critically, according to the police.

A doctor who was passing from the accident spot helped the boys -- all aged between 18 and 19 -- and also alerted the police, an official said.

The teenagers are suspected to have been in an inebriated condition when the accident occurred, he said, adding the police have seized their car and recovered beer bottles from it.

According to the official, the four were returning from Murthal after having the famed-paranthas of the Haryana town, over 50 km off Delhi.
