West Delhi: 19-yr-old raped by 2 youth, critical
In the first incident, the police has arrested two persons on the charges of raping a 19-year-old girl in an underconstruction building in Naraina.
New Delhi: A 19-year-old girl was raped by two youth in West Delhi’s Naraina and an eight-year-old minor was allegedly raped by her uncle in Chandni Mahal police station limits.
In the first incident, the police has arrested two persons on the charges of raping a 19-year-old girl in an underconstruction building in Naraina. The police said that the survivor, who hailed from Madhubani in Bihar, was living in slums with her parents in Cantt area.
Probe showed that the girl, who was working in an underconstruction building in Delhi Cantonment’s Jat Regiment Centre, was gangraped by her two fellow labourers identified as Mohammed Kasim, 20, and Mujibuar Rehman, 19. The two were working in the same site and and were doing the glass work. On Wednesday, around 2 pm, one of the accused, Kasim, called the survivor on the pretext of a personal errand, and allegedly raped her in turns.
They threatened the girl not to say anything and, abandoned her at the secluded place. The survivor came back to the site and began working, but her condition begun to deteriorate. She informed her parents, who took her to a nearby B.L.K. Hospital, from where she was refered to Lady Hardinge Hospital. On Wednesday night, the doctors confirmed the rape and informed the police, who arrested the two perpetrators. The police said that on Thursday, the girl had to undergo the surgery after she developed complicatiuons due to excessive blood loss and her condition is critical. The pol ice has booked the duo under Section 376 of IPC.
In the second incident, an eight-year-old minor was allegedly raped by her uncle in Chandni Mahal police station limits, according to the complainant. The survivor’s mother said that she runs a beauty salon and stays out of the house all day long. The survivor has two brothers.
