New Delhi: A woman in her early 20s was found dead under mysterious condition inside the washroom of a 5 star hotel in East Delhi on Friday morning. The family of the deceased, however, alleged that it was a planned murder.

According to reports, the staff of Mayur Vihar’s Holiday Inn hotel found the woman lying unconscious inside the washroom of room number 1,137. She was taken to a local hospital where doctors declared her dead.

There were no injury marks on the body of the woman who was staying in the hotel with her boyfriend. Both the girl and the boy are residents of Shahdara in Delhi and were neighbours. The duo had checked into the hotel on Wednesday.

The police has launched a probe into the mysterious death of the woman. However, nothing suspicious has been found so far.

The police late on Friday arrested a boy, also in his 20s, who is a final year student of a college in Delhi. The police, however, refused to reveal the identity of the deceased or the accused as the investigation is still underway.

As per the boy’s claims, he left the room on Thursday evening. He tried calling the girl on Friday morning, but she didn’t respond. After he enquired about her from the hotel staff, they got into the room using the master key and found the girl in the bathroom in an unconscious state.

The hotel staff immediately called an ambulance and the girl was rushed to the nearby hospital. The hotel staff further said that the girl was breathing while she was being taken to the hospital. However, the doctors declared her brought dead.

Immediately after the incident the boy informed the police and the body was sent for post-mortem. No suspicious marks could be found on the girl’s body.  The police suspects the girl might have taken some poisonous substance.

As per the girl’s family, she used to work in a beauty parlour. She informed the family that she was going to a friend’s birthday party.

The family said the girl didn’t have any illness and was not someone who would commit suicide. They alleged the boy murdered the girl as she was forcing him to marry her. To get rid of her, he murdered him, alleged a family member.

The girl’s family is now seeking justice.
