ASI takes probe in own hands to prove son was murdered

New Delhi: A Delhi police ASI ran from pillar to post to investigate the murder of his son, who was found dead near railway tracks of Subzi Mandi area. It took him 19 months to get the FIR lodged. On Decem-ber 22, 2016, ASI Brahm Prakash’s son, Jatin, was found dead at the railway tracks.

The police told Prakash that his son died as he met with an accident, however the cop was not satisfied with this and he himself took the investigation.

Prakash who is posted in Central districts’ district investigation unit (DIU), cross checked all the facts and the evidences and he found that there were some loopholes in them.

In his complaint, he said that even after his son’s body was found on the railway track, he did not died due to the accident as his clothes were not torn which usually happens in train accidents.

The second evidence he presented was that, the train driver always reports the accident but in this case there was no report from the driver about any accident.

He even checked his son’s call details after which he alleged that his neighbor and his son might be involved in the murder. He in his complaint stated that, his son and the neighbour’s son were on call just before the incident. He presented all these collected evidences to his seniors after which the case was registered after 19 months and the crime branch initiated the probe.
