Missed call leads to arrest of murderer

New Delhi: One missed call helped the police crack the murder case of the insurance agent within 24 hours with arrest of a 30 year old accused tailor and recovered a blood stained dagger and clothes of accused, said DCP (West) Monika Bharadwaj on Saturday.

The arrested accused was identified as Shahid (30), who hails from Bareily, (UP), and was residing in Delhi for the last five years.

On Thursday a PCR call was received that one person is lying in a pool of blood and had stab wounds all over his body. He was immediately rushed the hospital where he was declared brought dead. He was identified as Atul Kap-oor.

During analysing the call data records (CDR) one miss call was seen in the mobile phone of deceased and two miss calls were further seen from the mobile phone of the deceased to the other number.

CDR of the alleged number was obtained and it was revealed that at the time of incident the location of the phone of the alleged number was at the spot and later location was in Seelampur area.

Later the accused was apprehended and at his instance Blood stained clothes of accused and Dagger used in offence was recovered.

During interrogation accused disclosed that he was having prestige issue with the deceased as the deceased has beaten him some time back over the issue of parking. He was having grudge against him and planned the entire murder.
