Rains bring relief to city from high temperatures
The weatherman has predicted thunderstorm with squall on Tuesday, when temperatures are expected to hover around 31° and 20° Celsius.
New Delhi: Delhiites woke up to a pleasant morning on Monday as rain and thunderstorm brought down temperatures in the city.
The mercury was recorded at 31.3° Celsius, three notches below the normal for this part of the season.
The morning sky was overcast with mild breeze flowing across Delhi. Many parts experienced light to moderate rain. The Safdarjung Observatory recorded 2.2 mm of rainfall, said a MeT Department officer.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 20° Celsius, normal for this part of the season. More rain has been predicted for Wednesday by the department.

Delhi was seeing hot weather conditions until a few days ago but witnessed a significant change in the past two days. As per Skymet Weather, Delhi and the NCR region may experience duststorm, thunderstorm and rain activities until April 12.
"Thus, there is a possibility that the maximum temperature may even drop further and weather will remain pleasant over the national capital," it said.
