New Delhi: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly held hostage and raped repeatedly by a man known to her. Police said that the accused ran a placement agency in Uttam Nagar.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as David. Probe reveals that David had come to the city a few years ago. He hailed from Darjeeling and started his placement agency where he used to get women and girls from the northeast town and promised them a job of domestic help in posh Delhi areas.
Around a month ago, David visited Darjeeling and managed to take the minor's parents in confidence to send her to Delhi to earn a living. The parents agreed to send her, also from Darjeeling. David brought the girl two weeks ago and allegedly held her hostage in his house. He repeatedly raped her and threatened her not to disclose about his deeds to anyone. He also made sure that the minor couldn't establish any contact with her family.
