New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday said that it will move a privilege motion in the Delhi Assembly against the DDA officials to expose their lies on the issue of sealing in the national capital. Thirty nine AAP MLAs had expressed objections against the amendments proposed by the DDA on sealing in written, however the DDA kept mum on this and intentionally made public the absence of the AAP legislators.

In this context, party’s chief spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj will bring a breach of privilege motion in the assembly and try for the strongest possible action against non-members who have lied in the context of the assembly members.

Mr Bhardwaj said that the amendments proposed by the DDA are just a way to mislead the traders and our legislators have already protested against these in writing.

“However, it is regretful that DDA has told some newspapers that our legislators, including me, did not reach the meet, while we had already expressed our protest in writing beforehand,” he said.

“The fact is that I did not receive any information about the public hearing by DDA through e-mail or message, but my name was published in many newspapers, which is totally wrong. Therefore, I will bring a breach of privilege motion in the Delhi Assembly for tough action against those officials,” he said.

Also, there are no talks about the presence of the seven BJP MPs and four BJP MLAs in Delhi who have not uttered a single word in support of the traders in the city or have expressed their reservations against the DDA’s proposed Master Plan. Nor were they present in the DDA’s public hearing on the issue of sealing.

“The seven BJP MPs have done nothing about the issue of sealing in the city, which harassed the traders for days together,” he said.
