Now civic body to grant online health licence

Once an application is rejected by the empowered committee, the same would not be reconsidered for the next six months.

New Delhi: In a bid make doing business easier, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has introduced the process of granting health licence online from this month.

This has been undertaken with the aim to reduce delay in getting a health licence and to provide hassle-free services to the traders for their business activities.   

According to a senior NDMC official, Aadhar card, PAN card, medical examination certificate of employees, self-declaration on violation in terms of unauthorised constructions, photocopy of last paid electricity and water supply bills, ownership documents among others, which are mandatory. The same are to be uploaded, while filling the application online on NDMC website i.e.www.ndmc.gov.in # for an online health licence.

“The applications received through the system in the first half of every month would be inspected by the team deputed by NDMC in the third week of every month and by the end of the month, the process would be completed,” he said.

Once an application is  rejected by the empowered committee, the same would not be reconsidered for the next six months and would need to be filed when all the formalities are completed.

“The list of all approved cases would be published on the civic body’s website. The health licence holders would have to maintain an adequate hygienic condition at their restaurants at all the time and abide by all health license conditions strictly so as to avoid penal action or cancellation of the license in public interest,” he added.
