Manoj Tiwari inaugurates Parkinson's disease centre

New Delhi: On world Parkinson disease day, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari on Wednesday inaugurated specialized Parkinson's disease centre in PSRI Hospital to help combat movement disorder. Parkinson's disease is a progressive disorder, which strikes through the central nervous system and affects the body movement. In early stages it causes tremor in hand and can result in stiffness and slow movement of the affected body parts.

Symptoms are usually seen over the time like shaking, slowness in movement or shuffling, sexual difficulties, weight loss, difficulty in sleeping, anxiety etc. Researchers have also reported other symptoms like bladder control, inability to identify odours etc.

On the occasion of Parkinson's day, Mr Tiwari and BJP national vice president Shyam Jaju inaugurated PSRI hospital (Pushpawati Singhania Hospital & Research Institute) the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Clinic.

According to chairman, Institute of Neurosciences, PSRI Hospital Dr Shamsher Dwivedee, Parkinson's disease is no more an incurable disease. Many experts claimed that it is the second most common disorde after Alzheimer disease.
