8 Nepalese girls saved from hotel in Paharganj

Delhi police said, a PCR call was recovered from DCW on Thursday around 11 am after which a team was sent to the spot.

New Delhi: Eight Nepalese girls were rescued from a hotel in Paharganj on Thursday by the Delhi Commission for Women. The girls who were from earthquake-affected area of Nepal were being trafficked to Iraq and Kuwait to work as domestic help.

The DCW conducted a raid along with NGO KI Nepal and Delhi police at Hotel Omaxe Deluxe in Paharganj and rescued eight Nepalese girls from the hotel.

DCW received a tip-off, that some Nepalese girls were kept. Delhi police said, a PCR call was recovered from DCW on Thursday around 11 am after which a team was sent to the spot.
