Kiren Rijiju attends CISF's mass promotion ceremony
As many as 250 Sub-officers and personnel from various units who were to be promoted were invited for the function.
New Delhi: Minister of state for home affairs Kiren Rijiju graced the mass promotion pipping ceremony of CISF, which was organised at DMRC Auditorium, Metro Bhawan, on Tuesday.
Dr. Mangu Singh, CMD, DMRC, DG (CISF) Rajesh Ranjan, ADG (headquarters) Alok Kumar Pateria and other senior officers of CISF were present during the ceremony.
DG (CISF) Rajesh Ranjan issued directions to the concerned senior officers of CISF to work and create promotional avenues for the force personnel at large scale. In order to create promotional avenues, a cadre review was carried-out which was duly approved by the MHA. As a result, total 3,159 various ranks in non-gazetted category have been promoted in the first phase.
117 personals were promoted from Sub-Inspector to Inspector, 1,269 were promoted from Asstt. Sub- Inspector to Sub-Inspector, while 1,773 promoted from constable to head constable.
