Matter of pride that PM is MP for Varanasi: Manoj Tiwari
Ravi Shankar Prasad said that there is no corner in the world today where people from Poorvanchal do not live.
New Delhi: Delhi BJP Poorvanchal Morcha, on Sunday, organised a grand cultural programme in Talkatora Stadium on the occasion of Makar Sankranti under the leadership of Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari.
In this programme, Union ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad, national vice president Shyam Jaju, national general secretaries Arun Singh and Dr Anil Jain, and national spokespersons Syed Shahnawaz Hussain and Dr Sambit Patra addressed thousands of Poorvanchalis participating in the programme.
On this occasion, Mr Tiwari said that it is a matter of pride for the people of Poorvanchal that the Prime Minister of the country has made Varanasi his own constituency. Narendra Modi, an MP from Banaras (Poorvanchal), went on to become the Prime Minister of India and now India has become one of the fastest developing countries in the world, he said. Mr Tiwari felicitated the workers on the occasion of New Year (Hindu lunar calendar) and Makar Sankranti and said that the people of Poorvanchal have achieved their place owing to their hard work. Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that there is no corner in the world today where people from Poorvanchal do not live. Moreover, wherever they go for their livelihood, they contribute to the development of that land with hard work.
